And so, it was a fitting end to a fabulous trip. I hope to be back to Italy some day - it is a lovely country. I'll conclude with a few random thoughts, in no particular order, about travelling in Italy:

... up in Florence and had to drive thru the Florence traffic to get up the steep hill into Fiesole. It was mid afternoon and there was a market happening in the central square. finally got a park. Kids were hankering for a gelati... Asked the kind lady who served us where accomodation may be found and she indicated a villa 'UP' the hill..An attic room they had for us four. Parking only available 'DOWN' the hill a short walk away...but was free!
