... with Sal and I adding some weight the 2nd time with them we flew down the track at 60km/h which they loved. I now had dirty wedged jocks. Worth it though. These Swiss love their art and in particular Sculptures, there are about 100 pieces in the main park in town as well as all along the foreshore in Lugano. Pottered about the little town of Pella near to where we are staying. Sat on wooden bench on quayside scoffing a gelato each like oldies do apparently. Delightful. Rather traumatic drive here though as it was our first fairly prolonged exposure on this holiday to the infamous autostrada system around Milan. Bit like midlands M6 on steroids. No really hairy moments but a few expletives involuntarily uttered by one of us (well me actually) and apologised for! Flipping toll ...

... Dad went to move the car and got pulled over by a policemen because he a french numberplate. He didn't have his international drivers license or the registration of the car (Mum had them) but got let off. We had lunch which was pasta and ice cream or as the locals call gelato. Then we drove around the lake and visited a church perched on a hill. On the way up we passed a funeral and the grave yard. When we came down mum suddenly had a idea ...
