After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!
Menton, Provence, France darrenhough74Up early as it was a spectacular sunrise - full of pinks and organges. We wanted to hit McWifi before we entered Italy but we did not find one until later in the day in Menton. Before that we drove the coast road through Nice and Monte Carlo, both concrete ...
Monte-Carlo, Monaco darrenhough74Gorgeous morning and a stunning place for breakfast awaited us just outside Scooby overlooking the lake. I went for a run but Kim was feeling a little under the weather so she stayed and made me breakfast - yay! We spotted two girls about our age and attempted to engage in some conversation but their English was limited and French is rubbish. Shame as its manily been the grey hair brigade we ...

Cannes, Provence, France sofenjon... first day in Nice was spent on the beach, we couldn't wait to go into the ocean, that we went swimming without towels. Wasn't a good idea since Nice is all rock beaches and we couldn't really sit to dry off... WE had a delicous pasta dinner at Pasta Basta and ordered the finest wine on ...

Monte-Carlo, Monaco ricknelsie... think we’re pylons. I’ve been passed on the left and right, sometimes simultaneously, within inches. At some points we couldn’t take the constant traffic lights and lines of cars waiting to get through them and started lane splitting ourselves. At first it was a bit harrowing with the bags on, but we got used to it and made better time.

The drivers…in Portugal and Spain they move ...

Vence, Provence, France rippunzel... made the flight to Alicante so after many hours of tracking Petit Bleu down it was flown to Alicante where he missed us by one day, then to Madrid...where he missed us again by about a day, then at Marsielle airport we were informed that he was in London Gatwick airport!!! Janette and l both shouted "whats he doing in Gatwick??" where it appeared that he had to fly there in order to reach us in Marsielle. Once again he missed us in Marsille...where we have never seen or ...
St Paul de Vence, France mimmy21... anyway. Besides, with 300 sunny days a year, voting would be a criminal waste of tanning time. Because residents of Monaco pay no income tax, the principality became something of a tax haven for the private jet set. Famous faces from the sporting or cinema worlds flitted in and out of expensive boutiques or zoomed through the streets in expensive cars, knowing their money was safe in Monaco. The principality was admitted to the UN as a full member ...
