... br>Hotel was fantastic. 5 star luxury with sauna and steam room, which I enjoyed. Roof top pool overlooked the Mediterranean coast line. Ferrari's frequently pulling up out front with people arriving to gamble at the casino (the hotel has its own and is right next door to the main Monte Carlo casino). €500 notes being handed over at casino tables.

Have had fun in France. Nice is interesting and the beautiful water of the mediterranian was great to woke up to... Mick went for a swim !! we caught a train to Cannes and we looked around all the exclusive spots but noone we knew... just rich people and us tourists..
we also went to Montecarlo.. fantastic.. even swa a kart race in Monaco... had a look at the MonteCarlo Casino.. impressive if only for the flashy cars and people with too much cash ...

... didn't charge me. They do if the delay is less than 2 hrs. So instead of the 4:25pm flight, I am getting the 8:15pm. Annoying because I miss seeing Nice in daytime and the train ride to Monaco is supposed to be excellent views over the Mediterranean.

So, today has basically been in transit. Saw some good views from the plane window of the Swiss Alps (at least I think that’s what those mountains were).

We didnt do much in Cannes except go to the beach. Got there pretty early and were only planning on spending the day and night but then the realisation dawned that it might be the last chance to be at the beach again. SO... we decided to stay another night and have a final day at the beach. We took a walk around the old town ...

Ile razy bylismy w uroczym miasteczku Villefranche na francuskim Lazurowym Wybrzezu, tyle razy chcialam pojechac do Monaco. Moj grafik jednak mi na to nie pozwalal. Tym razem spielam sie w czasie i zaraz po porannej pracy pobieglam na dworzec kolejowy. Pociag do Monte Carlo, w obie strony, kosztowal mnie cale 5 Euro, a jazda trwala 15-20 minut. Widoki sliczne, ale najlepsza byla jednak Starowka Monte Carlo oraz samochody ...

... think we’re pylons. I’ve been passed on the left and right, sometimes simultaneously, within inches. At some points we couldn’t take the constant traffic lights and lines of cars waiting to get through them and started lane splitting ourselves. At first it was a bit harrowing with the bags on, but we got used to it and made better time.

... made the flight to Alicante so after many hours of tracking Petit Bleu down it was flown to Alicante where he missed us by one day, then to Madrid...where he missed us again by about a day, then at Marsielle airport we were informed that he was in London Gatwick airport!!! Janette and l both shouted "whats he doing in Gatwick??" where it appeared that he had to fly there in order to reach us in Marsielle. Once again he missed us in Marsille...where we have never seen or ...

Today Kate and I went to Monaco. On Darius' suggestion, we got the bus to Monaco instead of getting the train like everyone else does. Certainly good advice. Probably one of the best bus rides of my life. We were told to sit on the right side of the bus, we did, and we weren't disappointed. The views were just amazing, it sounds stupid but it brought tears to my eyes. The sun was still rising, and we passed around ...
