I was being led astray by my wife!

What I cannot work out though, is who would be interested in that kind of thing at 10.30 in the morning, stone cold sober? They are, as I said, Ladies of the Night' and whilst some of them had some considerable assets, you would have to have quite a few drinks and it would have had to be dark, to fall for such inducements - I presume!

... foot to explore. We visited the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. This richly decorated cathedral, has three imposing doorways, inside the black and white columns stand out. There are many fine paintings and richly decorated altars. The Doges Palace is now a cultural centre and preparations were underway for a concert in the courtyard outside the palace. We walked on up the hill and through a beautiful ...

... has been pinching me a lot since we have been here lol. We didn't want to leave Portofino, it has an ambience and a quiet sophistication about it, reminds me a lot of St Tropez but is not as pretentious as St Tropez, no big super yachts in the marina etc.

Time to head home to Fifi so off we went, traversing the winding coastal road and back on to the train heading for Sestri Levante.

Really weird thing though, for those of you who ...
