      ... ourselves in our small hire care going down a rather steep 4x4 track to a deserted beach. Luckily we decided to stop halfway down in the end due to the shear gradient and the amount of large rocks. This turned out to be very wise as we walked the remainder of the track.       ... the house next door was selling home grown fruit and veg. We had to have a look of course and saw the biggest pumpkin and squash you have ever seen (no photos as the camera wasn't with me). We got talking to the owners and they showed us their garden plot and luckily we managed to prise some of their freshly squeezed that day olive oil (straight from the press).       We went to Patitiri Beach late morning to enjoy the sun, we ate our pack lunch and then waited for the ferry to come at around 1.30pm. We bumped into Dave and Gerry in one of the harbour bars and had a quick chat before boarding our ferry. I love the fact you bump into people all the time and people are so friendly, I really do like the community feel of the Island.

      Toni took the kids to a Halloween party with the ex-pat community, well it was a play then a few drinks, they seemed to enjoy it. I abstained as I didn't feel great, something going on with the atmosphere on Halloween I think as I felt awful. Maybe I was just displaying my werewolf side who knows.

      We were sat at home on the 28th not knowing what to do when the phone rang and Ilias wanted to know if we fancied going to Stena Vala to a restaurant that his friend owns. It was a holiday on the Island so all of the shops were closed so we were at a lose end anyway. We ventured off up the east coast of the Island to Stena Vala getting the tour guide description of all the beaches and tourist spots along the way.
