    ... hundreds and hundreds of pieces of pottery, it was great fun and the kids were trying to find the best bit of course.

    We have been invited for Xmas drinks and canapé at a local ex-pat couple this Saturday which sounds like fun. The community have been very welcoming since we arrived and with only a couple of thousand winter inhabitants you can't go a street without saying hello to someone.

    ... museum here about local life. We have a quick walk around there are a few shops selling touristy things, a few tavernas that are open and quite busy with a coach load of students, the church in the centre is very old, but closed.     ... up. The traditional houses are made of stone and have stone roofs and wooden balconies. Some still have flowers growing on them, it's strange to see roses and geraniums in the middle of December. Back down in the village there is a large campsite and the harbour is where the harbour scene in Mama Mia was filmed,with the waves crashing into it today it doesn't look so idyllic.     ... we picked Boletus mushrooms first which are a yellow/brown mushrooms that hides under the local foliage. Well once we knew what to look for we stumbled on a vast amount, see the pictures attached to believe it.
