    Got bored with stripping paint off doors and mending roofs and painting furniture and the rain decided to go to beach for a holiday while forcast is good. Took bikes. Went back to site on beach next to lake. Now sitting with lake one side beach other. Waves crashing, fish flopping in lake. Tony safe no animators or beach Zumba, just peace and quiet..... Rosie doing stunts and handbrake turns in sand and Boinging in sea........mad ...

    Festival for Saint Rocco in Lanciano

    ... that it's actually 2 churches dating back to the 13th century. Inside S. Rocco, there was a table full of wax molds of peoples body part. Apparently, these are area experiencing illness that people want healed. It was a little eerie.

    Well, enough excitement for one night! I pop up the rest of our popcorn (the old fashion way), play some Rummicube, and get packed for our long travel day tomorrow.

    ... prepared not to sleep! They are setting up when we get home and the musicians are warming up. We make dinner, risotto and veggies, and get ready to watch from our window. At 9:30, things finally started. It seemed to be a one-man dramatic presentation with musical accompaniment. Since we couldn't understand it, we decided to go to bed. :). Fortunately, they finished at 10:30 pm.

    ... types), olives, cheese. Tonight, we tried a new place, Dolce Passione, they brought out a dish with mashed potatoes & ham plus a medley of green peas, eggplant, & zucchini. We loved the spicy cheese. Aperitif is about 5-7 euros, depending on the drink. Not bad dad for dinner!

    So, this is dinner for us! Now home and get the kids to bed. We will make popcorn tonight (our favorite snack!)

    Tomorrow, we are planning a road trip. ...

    ... is interesting - we are on a narrow, hill, one way street. We have been advised to put a couple of dead plants out in from of our apt. to save our parking space. So, we did this text when we left, but apparently we did not leave enough space for Mary Beth to park our van! Fortunately, she was able to find another space not too far from our apt.

    Because there is a big children's festival tonight, we have a rest and dinner ...
