Sicily was absolutely beautiful! Words cannot describe it and the pictures do it no justice. The first day we saw Monreale just outside of Palermo. It is a beautiful church with gold mosaics. Then we went to Selinunte which has a bunch of Greek temple ruins. Sicily is central in the Mediterranean and was taken over by everyone at some point. ...

They pick the olives the old fashioned way..no nets, and the workers surround the trees with the baskets hanging from their necks while picking the olives with their hands...no rakes are used, no machines,,just hands.
