    ... still active. Neil rang a bell and spoke in Italian to a nun who opened the door to the abbey before scuttling off without saying anything. It could be a silent order. She did give us a wave however. There are some lovely frescoes but most interesting was a very old style simple coffin. There was also a statue that I thought was Jesus showing some leg. Turns out it was a saint showing his bloody scars of martyrdom or the plague.

    A bit more walking around this exquisite place, a quick visit to a much quieter village then back to the hotel by 4pm. We caught up and rested till 7pm when we wandered as a group to the main piazza for a drink then to a restaurant for dinner. Good pizza and wine not too bad. Cool evening. Bed by 10.45. ...

    We drove to the old Roman ruins of Peltuinum where the only remains were basically just the foundation stones. All the rest had been used as a resource for stone for the local villages.     Hello Everyone. Today we had to pack up and leave our gorgeous apartment in the Amalfi Coast. We decided to visit Positano and the ceramics shop which has made all the gorgeous tiles and pottery in this apartment. The shop is amazing and has been in the same family for 4 genertions.
