      ... sang. Till the applause. Well received. Didn't think it appropriate to stamp and scream so just clapped appreciatively along with the crowd.

      Then there were more speeches, by the organiser, a patron, perhaps the mayor........and still the audience behaved. No-one moved, no-one ran. Incredible, but guess if anyone had left early, they'd have missed out on the socialising that went on afterwards.
