Beach time! We had 2 full days in Pag to just relax and check out the beaches. Being spoiled for any other beaches already, I really only appreciated the colour of the water as instead of sand the water is surrounded by rocks! Not fun to walk on (regretted my decision to not buy those dorky water shoes) but we ...

... were planters everywhere of marigolds which gave it a burst of colour. There were a lot of market stalls in the town square nod boutique shops aplenty. Pete spied a mustard silk dress that he wanted me to try on. It's an Italian creation and not a colour that I usually ware but it suited me very well, so bought it.

Today was the day everyone had been looking forward to for a
relax on the beach. We headed down to breakfast at 9:30 and then went out to
wander the shops. We didn’t enjoy this very much as when you entered a shop,
the store owner would watch you the whole time and even follow you around the
store. We got a T-Shirt however were unable to find a hat pin anywhere. By
11:00 we were back at the hotel. I had a short ...

Another travel day today heading to Croatia’s island Pag.
Everyone is looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow on the beach as we have
all been so busy everywhere else so far! We set off at 7:15 as today we had a
few stops planned that ran at particular times. The first of these we arrived
at about 9:30 was the Postjana Caves. These are the longest caves in Europe and
to get to the main bits of the cave we have to catch a little railway ...

... how of it all. I located the correct counter and asked for a ticket to Jasenovak. What I got in return was a cold Balkan stare as if to say "Why do you want to go there?" A few people boarded the train with me, and we headed east for the Bosnian-Croatian border where Jasenovac is located along the Sava River. The train ride was pleasant, and I was able to catch up on some reading and blogging. By the time we reached the train stop in Jasenovac, it was 2:00, and ...
