We left our lovely lake and drove out of Austria into Italy through some Alps which was once again amazing. It was a wonderful drive and more amazingly it felt like it should be cold but the air was already warm when you put your hand out the window. Once we left the Alps as we got further into Italy the temperatures really ramped up. After a ten day break it was a bit of a shock to the system to be so hot once more. We stopped near Trieste by the sea, crossed the road and jumped ...

Vlaho, to pass the time, talked/quizzed us about famous Croatian scientists & inventors. We arrived at our hotel @6:30 and dinner was to be @7:30. ...

... interesting alleys & lanes all over the place. Many alleys went directly to the water...very cool! So far, our time in Croatia has been fairly relaxed. The landscape is pretty; different from the other countries. Very rugged. They like tunnels more than switchbacks & mountain roads. We went through quite a few tunnels today, including one that was 5 km long! While the temperatures are high, at least we are on the coast and their is generally a decent ...

... fondly) was born according to her source. We drove to the house to snap a few photos. We tried to do some more digging around in the village but the language issue and time constraints to get back to the car ferry on time limited us. Although during our quest we ran into kid that was from Detroit which was pretty funny! Its the only American we've encountered since arriving in Croatia. Despite that it was a successful ...
