... 500 km of bike trails, but today we decided to stick to the coastal path heading into the national park. The dry heat and smell of the forest reminded us of Australia. All the way along the track were Rocky beaches and people swimming and sunbathing. Every now and then we would have to make a detour around the naturist parks (there were a few). Just for a laugh I was tempted to strip off and cycle naked through one of these areas but ...

Burano one of Venice's many islands is like Venice but a lot smaller and way more colourful. It reminded me a bit of La Boca in Buenos Aires. We were thinking of renting a beach chair and umbrella, ordering a drink and relaxing and ...

... but not reinstalled leaning against a wall. As we enter the room leading to the bell tower, I spy a small area low on the wall (easy to miss) with the remnant of a mosaic in creams, oranges and browns.

We walk past what might be a large baptismal font (can't imagine what else it might be) carved from a beautiful orange stone (that happens to match what we chose back at home for our bathroom remodel). We pass through a dark doorway and climb ...

... one hostel in town with a really nice guy running it. We dumped our stuff and headed to a nearby restaurant the Ivan ( hostel guy ) told us to try. Food and restaurants have been a challenge for us... Things are ordered differently here... Veggies are side dishes that need to be ordered, if you want butter or jam with the endless piles of bread they give you, it too has to be side ordered. Once it comes they leave you be...forever! Getting the ...
