Just spent all day yesterday at the beach, alternating between sleeping on the shore and lazing on a lie-low on the ocean. beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, clear blue ocean. exactly what we all needed to recharge after 15 days of non stop moving around. I think everyone that got swineflued is now recovered, so we should be good to go for the next 12 days :( until the end of the trip.

We finished up the last leg of our road trip in Cesky Krumlov in Czech. It is the most amazing and well preserved medieval town in the country. They were too poor to rebuild the town in the 1800s - as a result everything has been well preserved from the 15-16th Centry. We have seen plenty of castles on our travels - but this one is something else. We stayed in a cool ...
Great little place to relax, with plenty of beaches (topless, nude or otherwise), hiking, boating and more. Heavily touristed by northern Europeans, with lots and lots of skin on the beaches and boats, and a very interesting medieval town made for wandering tourists.
A short catamaran ferry ride and we landed in the town of Novalja on the nearby island of Pag but it is a world away from the quiet medieval Rab! Here the promenade was filled with tourist stalls one after the other; bars and restaurants blaring out their music, and all filled with people doing their best to consume the island's supply of alcohol. It is not surprising that Pag has earned the title "Ibiza ...
Novalja, Island of Pag, Croatia jmabroWhat a wonderful way to spend a day on an island. We walked for miles along and in the water, stopping often to admire the view and marvel at the colour of the water; found a local man to talk to about his little bit of paradise and a local ice cream parlour with thatched coverings and amazing views to enjoy our ice cream just out of the midday sun; the local park for a lunch picnic; and later an obligatory espresso at one of ...
Rab, Kvarner Bay Islands, Croatia jmabroOur day out can be described in three words – amazing, fantastic, spectacular!!!
We, along with our new Dutch tour group friends who insisted we join them in a 10am drink of Schnapps!, went off to a few island stops, beaches, a fjord with a bombed, sunken warship, coves and just magnificently beautiful blue water.
At some of these stops we dived off the boat into the amazingly clear, sparkling and buoyant water and loved every moment of it.

We stepped off the ferry into a medieval marvel. Beautiful old stone buildings right on the water's edge, plenty of boats offering to take us out to glorious looking beaches and islands and, best of all, the sun was shining brightly again!
We found a hotel with a room ...
This weather has a bloody cheek,
doesn't it know where it is?! Ie in bleedy Croatia and not the North
Sea in November. I reckon the storm is just taking the proverbial and
following us down the coast – as sure as I am that the people of
Uzbekistan will appreciate the rain, I will not be amused if it goes
on that long. Because of the weather we again chose just to keep
driving and see where we got to.

... were ice cream, food and drink sellers! So, the bus arrived and we were finally on our way to Mali losinj... Earlier on in the day I said jokingly to Simon, "Ha ha we probably wont get to our campsite til about 7pm tonight"... we arrived there at bang on 7pm after what felt like another mammoth walk through town. The 12 hour travel day was all worth it though... Mali Losinj is a really pretty fishing / tourist village. I have never seen such big yachts, theres ...
