We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.
... buses to get to our hostel. After about an hour that included bus rides and lots of stairs, we arrived at the hostel, where we dropped off our stuff and left to explore the city.

... insanely gorgeous. The entire town was dead silent. No cars.. no pedestrians... no cafes were open... there were however, lots of runners! I guess when the streets are so narrow with race cars driving on them all day, the safest and best time of day to run is when they aren't there!
