... the way back to Cartago and got some really beautiful shots.
After our trip, we went to the travel agency to finalize our plans for the weekend. It is going to be so much fun. We also visited the grocery store to pick up some things we wanted. I am starting to feel like a local. It is a neat feeling to be "living" in another country.
I have a very busy schedule tomorrow so I don't know if I will be able to post, but I will try.
Hasta luego!
... d have him put both in my car. I was determined to recover from the traumatic events of that day. Regardless of the money, which had become a concern, I was not willing be reminded of this incident every time I drove the car by seeing a vacant spot where my stereo had been. And the alarm would help prevent my new convertible top from being stolen. By then it was afternoon. The used top Rick found for me was unacceptable and the rains had started. Rick ...
Orosi, Province of Cartago, Costa Rica lisavalencia... moras and leafes from severall trees. Thus we almost rolled down the mountain back to Orosi. Visiting the hot springs- we felt a little betrayed as they were not at all hot and I left the water after 5 minutes freezing to death. But again.. we had a great, green day with spending the evening with our jumpers and scrafs, which really was the first time in 3 months!!! Moreover our canadian friends turned out to be a really great entertainment, as soon as they had some ...

I listeded to my ipod, Ed browsed through the maps and travel information we had compiled in anticipation for our departure. American Airlines Flight 1300, an MD-80 (or as American refers to it, the "Super 80" or "S80") Denver to Dallas-Fort Worth would be the first flight of a 2 ...
Alajuela, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica rfritzjr... even walk 2 blocks in downtown San Jose, sola in the middle of the night) to the Tica Bus station. Come to find out the Tica Bus station is open 24 hours and they were just napping waiting for the next bus to roll in from Panama. I took the overnight executive bus to Managua, Nicaragua. A great way to go and worth the extra $5; they provide pillows, blankets, a snack, coffee and a nice attendant to assist through the border. I arrived to ...
San Jose, Costa Rica lizestes... in Spanish! woot! The hotel was really nice. I liked it. It was completely dark when I was there. But I woke up to a beautiful garden view. Many beautiful and colorful flowers. Gorgeous. That's it for now. I'll write more soon. It's difficult to get internet access where I am right now.
San Jose, Costa Rica angelalivengood... our standoff with the truck we remained in the ditch for several minutes with the lights turned off. Once we made it back onto the road we were the only car from miles and when we flicked on the headlights what was right in front of us....... a Coyote! Looked right at us then ambled off the road and jumped over a fence. See, had we had not a) gotten lost and b) nearly ran into a truck, we would have never seen that. Oh no, I had ...
san jose, Costa Rica sarah_lizzie... oplevelse.
San Jose, Province of San Jose, Costa Rica tanjahvid... a small town 5km up the mountains past Alajuela and no one there has ever heard of it. An hour later and dead tired we got the guy to just give up and take us back down to Alajuela and find someone there. He called a hostel there (Hostal Internacional) and they had a room available for only $35 (cheap for Alajuela) so we crashed there for the night. Up early this morning and off to the airport. Part one over, stand by for part two...
Alajuela, Costa Rica varneyThe first morning in Costa, we did the usual breakfast which for me, in Costa Rica always includes a couple of cups of some of the best coffee in the world. After breakfast a driver showed up to take me to pick up my rental car. The drive there was a bit iffy... the whole time I kept thinking 2 things. 1) Where the heck is he taking me? and 2) Am I am going to remember how to get back to the hotel? Eventually he ...
