    We had a chilled weekend and this evening we went for a walk down on the local beach and took some more photos back up to the village in which we are staying. Years ago it was a major venue for mass bridge tournaments so it is called the "Villagio Dei Bridge" - but now it has a few full time residents, but most of the apartments are either holiday homes or no longer used.     So - having left Puglia, we have now headed over to the other side of Italy (about where the shoe laces are :) ) to a lovely apartment in a village on a hill above San Nicola Arcella in Calabria.     we travelled to San Giovanni and on arrival had some difficulty finding the hotel but after about 20 minutes and help from a local "Mama" we did, We had to bang in the door and the home tel and restaurant looked pretty closed.
