    ... own towels, soap and toilet paper because they don’t supply it. No private rooms, of course, usually 6 people in a room. Since the food is so bad Italian families bring tons of food to hospital patients. They also stay at the hospital 24 hours a day because they don’t trust the nurses who are usually chatting, drinking coffee and smoking.

    ... We found a nice place for lunch down by the water and enjoyed a nice long lunch of pasta and wine. Tonight we are eating out and can pick from a few local restaurants that our tour director has recommended.     ... We were off! Exiting the building through 7 levels of switchbacks was a good introduction to Italian roads. For those of you who might not have had the opporunity to drive in Italy or Europe, the parking garages as well as the streets tend to be about 3 sizes smaller than they are in North America.
