    ... Not sure what it is, but I grateful for something to ease the congestion. The country side is so lovely. Our Alburgue for the night is paid for by donation and is one of the best so far! The dinner is community style and more pilgrims are arriving as I sit at the top of the village overlooking the valleys mountains beyond - a stunning view!     ... River! Very ideal and yet one wonders what people do here, so far from anything! One last pilgrim joins us and we eat the Alburgue meal of spaghetti with red sauce then pork with fried egg and French fries! Odd but filling. Desert usually includes a choice of yogurt or fruit and if in a city then a sweet tart is added to the choices. Grateful for the women's only rooms ...

    Round 5pm the small collection of old buildings of Arres on the crest of the hill was a very welcome sight. The Albergue los Solrisas is in one of the restored buildings. The hosts are 2 very friendly women who had little English but very keen to communicate and make us welcome. We were shown to a room where 5 of the 8 bunk beds were already taken so we gratefully squeezed in. This ...
