We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

She conquered it in the end, after she got over her fright! Ryan and Shannon looked really good skiing- once Ryan decided he really could do it. They practically flew up and down the mountain, although Ryan did come a cropper quite spectacularly once. I have to admit to falling once myself ( a bit like Meg, went to ...

... bigger lake than Orta, where we are staying. We have G&Ts on the balcony waiting for Pete to return from his day trip to Switzerland. Then we walk down to a local restaurant for the night, where many of Jane's tour group are also dining. It's lovely to catch up and compare notes about what's great (or not) while on tour! What a schedule they are on! Their Italian American guide has explained that you should ask for the quanto (bill) about 20 minutes before you really ...
