Beautiful city Absolutely adorable =) Although Krumlov has a nicer city center, Budweis has more to offer, because it's a bigger city. And it's also a beautiful place! This time I'm writing in English as a little present to my English speaking followers ;) And I also set the date of the last entry to Tuesday the 17th because it was the day of Krumlov. Our last travel day (not including tomorrow's long flight home) began at 8:30 after breakfast at the hotel in Prague.

Not too much to report here.

We stopped for a break at the town of Tabor, Czech Republic, where we had about 45 minutes to stretch our legs and grab a coffee. Our last chance to get rid of our Czech Crowns (Money).

From there we completed our trip back to Vienna, Austria, with a stop for lunch along the way.

... looked different and the houses too. We stopped at a very old town in a big bend of the river. There was an amazing bridge held up by three layers of arches. A beautiful painted tower was on top of a big castle with bears in the moat. Even though we have seen lots of amazing things I was still stunned by this beautiful place.
When we arrived at the hotel I was put in a lift and taken up to the ...

... fabulous ferry contraption powered, apparently, by nothing more than the fast flowing current and a tether across the river. We had a jolly chat with the hairy ferryman, who was all fluffy beard and pig tail, and it was all most relaxing and uplifting. There is something suitably momentous about crossing one of the great rivers of the world on such an unexpected mode of transport.
We barely noticed that we crossed the border the Czech Republic, apart from the worse road, the remnant ...
