Busy day today. Lunch at a friend's house in Asti and dinner with the son of Annalia's mother's best friend. Complicated I know. Taking a train to Asti. What's funny is that there are always some who want to practice their english. Good ...

    ... after meal.
Like Meg said, this was the least tourist-y place we've been to. The restaurant where we had pizza spoke no English at all, and really most of the places we went to there was very little English being spoken. We said to each other as we were walking down the street that this was the first place that felt 'truly Italian' to us in the culture, the people, and our surroundings. I really enjoyed that aspect of it, ...

... eager to share their knowledge and have great pride in their produce . They all exclaim " Ah, Australie, molto distante" when they find out where we are from. They are delighted, bit puzzled as to how we found our way to La Morra.
We booked into a 5th generation family estate "Marrone Cru". Nonna cooked Pranza (lunch) and with each of the 6 courses we had a glass of matched wine , sitting in the cellar with other guests.
