... expensive. $55 per person to go, we couldn't believe it, as I said we had budgeted for it to be Thailand cheap but we have definitely found they are in no way comparable. My research 6 months ago has failed for the first time all trip! We're not starving though we can survive happily but won't be charging around doing all activities under the sun. Hotel prices are good but food is expensive and transport is extortionate. The other problem is the rain, it would make it impossible ...

A pretty shaky start of the day since I was getting more and more nervous by a minute. We leave half an hour later than planned, as certain Pedro gets lost in time and space, and make our way towards the river. Me and another 7 locos get dropped off on a way while the rest of the group continue to La Fortuna. We get picked up by the local adventure company (all arranged by our tour leader) - three rafting guides and a driver who claim ...

... one of the owners birthdays today and they had a private area in the bar, there wasn't anything special going on but they just had this private area anyway. We all ended up in there dancing and they were trying to get everyone to do a little dance in the middle of the circle. I didn't particularly want to do it, my dancing is not exactly wonderful but I decided to teach all of the locals and foreigners a classic English dance move, the slut drop. Good ole Geordie ...
