Instead of Monte Verde and Manuel Antonio (in the rain) we are going to venture down to Puerto Viejo, a Jamaican influenced beach resort for 6 days, setting off tomorrow, then have 9 days in Tortuguero with the turtles before the last night in San Jose. ... Good Morning at 7 AM from Playas del Coco! I don't know why I woke up this early. Good thing I was ready for breakfast! The breakfast that came included with our room consisted of toast, orange juice, watermelon, pineapple, papayas, and strawberries. A very healthy breakfast if I do say so myself. We leave half an hour later than planned, as certain Pedro gets lost in time and space, and make our way towards the river. Me and another 7 locos get dropped off on a way while the rest of the group continue to La Fortuna. We get picked up by the local adventure company (all arranged by our tour leader) - three rafting guides and a driver who claim ...

... just wall after wall of jellyfish. I didn't think they stung but neither of us wanted to go through and test it. So we tried another area but it was really choppy and when I finally found a clear spot the red tide washed in. Mother trucker. So our second trip was more of a swimming trip but the first one was so good I think it made up for it. I've never been snorkelling and seen stuff that good. As we were heading back I found out I would be staying on the boat for the ...
