      Early start due to the proxımıty to the road and people. Dogs got close durıng the nıght, had me reachıng for my knıfe. Aggressıve dogs cahsed us barkıng all the tıme as we headed to refınd the danua cycle traıl, though unlıke the day before I dıd not need to put the boot ın!

      Fınally found the traıl, yay! It went over awful lumpy gravly rıver defences ...

      Safe from the Downpour

      We were happy to be settled in so soon. Dave ran out to the store just as heavy black rain clouds were blowing our way. He aborted his trip to the store and just grabbed water at the gas station and got back to the hotel as the clouds burst. Again, we were happy to be snug and dry in our hotel.       ... We still had more than half our plan ahead of us. In the end, we rode more than 30 km on dirt and grass tracks on the dyke. I managed to hit a hole and fall again when I was looking around instead of where I was going. I was exhausted and shaken.
