      Dal cooked up a spicey sausage stew with fresh bread and a green salad. We rinsed the dishes in the ocean & watched all the little fishes fight over the leftovers.

      ... the whole town. The catholics used to be locked up there by the Turks (during the middle ages) and dissenters thrown to the valley below!
      As we walked, the aunty pointed out different family houses and the who’s who of the part of town they lived in. There is still a little bit of ethnic tension that you could detect in her description - that’s a muslim house, that’s x, that’s y...understandable given the fighting in and around the town.

      ... s, autour du jour de Saint Domnius (aussi connu sous les noms de Dujam, Duje, Domnio, Doimus et Domninus me dit Wikipedia) qui est aussi le jour de la ville de Split. Ce n'est pas anodin, la cathédrale porte son nom et il semblerait qu'il se soit fait martyriser ici. Une histoire très drôle donc.
