... amp; lots of them. Still not used to twilight all night, so no real darkness to sleep in. Luckily out pull down blinds are total black out, but still the light comes in through the vent, & it's obvious that it is not dark enough to sleep. I have a dialogue with myself every time I wake up through the night ( which is often) trying to convince myself that it only 2am & I really should still be ...

Whilst staying at our second campsite, the very rugged campsite of Olavin Retkiellelijat RY, we visited the very pretty town of Savonlinna. It's a city of 30,000 people or so and if there weather was nicer, I would have loved to go on a lake cruise, but it poured down rain all day. The lake cruises are only 10 euros and last about 2 hours, so in the future if I come back, I would like to do a cruise ...

... it was entertaining, and fun to walk around, i doubt it rates on many peoples ‘spectacular’ lists. It had an interesting history, and the guide was knowledgable.
Savonlinna is also known for its two lakes which are meant to contain seals. we didnt see any unfortunatly. that night we camped at the man made channel which connected the two lakes, it was one of the best free camp sites we had found on the trip.
