Wandering off the map
... the park! Really, the Cişmigiu Gardens was the highlight of my day. The park had a ton of character. I really enjoyed wandering around and people watching. We did eventually get the confirmation that we were in Bucharest, although not in the form we had expected. As we walked off the platform we were approached by 3 or 4 shifty looking, leather jacket clad Rommanians offering to sell us coach tickets to Istanbul. Well we didn't need them, we were getting a train, so we went to reserve our cabin for the next night train ...
