... I said goodbye and headed out. My original plan was to follow the coast and camp around Vaasa, then follow the coast the next day to Oulu, but since I had gotten up so early I decided to go straight through to Oulu. ... the supermarket so that they could buy themselves some fresh made up salad for lunch whilst I sat in the café guarding luggage and updating the blog. When they returned and after a coffee together, it was time for Julie and me to leave them, to get the boat ready for our departure. ... came across a fish shop, selling smoked fish amongst other things. We opted for some nicely prepared hot smoked salmon, looking like little pies but consisting entirely of fish wrapped around a garlic based filling or a pickle of some description.
