          Piran - Slovenian Istria

Slovenia has only 16 miles of coastline, not much compared to Croatia's thousands of miles of coast when you include all of its islands and peninsulas. The short stretch is quite developed with an industrial port city (Koper), a swank resort (Portoroz), and a few other old towns. The one real attraction, though, is Piran, a beautiful old town on a peninsula similar to Porec and Rovinj in Croatian Istria but ...

The clearness of the water in both places is quite remarkable given the heavy boat traffic throughout this ...

... morning, paid the bill and lunch shopping. Bobby played tennis and Charlotte went to mini club for a bit. One last dip in the sea before lunch. After lunch we went to the pool, it's definitely a good idea to dispatch the kids early to queue up as we wouldn't have got a sunbed otherwise. Charlotte managed to persuaded Daddy to buy her a new bikini (because see NEEDS ...

... beach. Bbq tonight which was nice. Still not managed to control the portable bbq but things were less "well done" tonight. Even Charlotte ate her meat! After my shower I'm sat in our pitch just chillin. Operation wind down and pack up starts tomorrow when the Toms clan become travellers. Austria is sorted but Germany is still a little "fuzzy". What could go wrong?? Something to contemplate on the beach tomorrow I ...
