We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

It is bitterly cold and not helped by a strongish breeze and the country side is in transition from autumn to winter and can be described as dull. ... that the airport name on the details is different to the name of the airport we're at. After a short panic it turned out they were one and the same so no big problem. Flight turned up pretty much on time, we took the grandchildren in our car and left the older rug rats to sort out a hire car. A quiet drive back as they both sleep most of the way, back at the ranch and within ten minutes the cover is off the pool and the four of us are in it. The other four turn up an hour later ...

... water seemed pretty warm and we tried to guess what it was we settled on 23C, a January sea temperature in Oman. I went off to interrogate the life guard and was surprised to discover it was only 19C; it must have been a heck of a lot lower in Brittany. After swims and naps we headed home to make a birthday supper for Phil.
