Our alarm clock this morning were the noises of the white gibbon singing in the trees and the noise of the river flowing passed which actually made you think that it was raining. We got some breakfast on the rooftop and met Marie who owns the guesthouse, we caught up on the mis-confusion last night. Fruit salad for breakfast for me! You would not believe how excited I was for it, and I had a black passionfruit which was delicious! Scott had a chocolate pancake and that was ...

Now we have to hang about in the airport for 4 and half hours until we board, it's a nice airport and plenty of shops to look about but just frustration knowing we could have been there already! ... that I checked into my hotel, booked my two day trek and flopped onto my bed for a couple hours of stretched out proper sleep.

After waking and having a cold shower i was in much better spirits and ready to explore. Being the holiday the river banks were full of families having picnics and rafting down the rapids section in inner tubes. Their joy was infectious. So I found an empty area to sit amongst them and watched and read my book. After a couple hours my ...

It took 12 hours to travel from Yogyakarta to Bromo by mini van. A long day. We arrived at the foot of the national park in a village called Cemoro Lawang, where there was really not much. The accommodation is pricey here but we met another couple so we had more weight to bargain the price of the room down. It is such a relief to find like minded people in such a small place! The next day ...
