I took the bus from Lake Toba to Bukittinggi, which is a 17hours ride. I'm getting used to these long trips. It is basically to only way of traveling in Sumatra as there is no train system. There are some domestic flights but I like to travel by land or water (and like this, you don't ...

Their diet is mainly fruit, vegetation, bark and honey and they build nests of branches and foliage daily to sleep in. On our trek we also saw 2 different kinds of monkeys, macques and a Thomas Leaf and a white gibbon. This has been one of the main highlights of our trip so far and so worth the effort to get here and the hard trek through the ...

... the water..passing the fish by with a wave. Back in the dive shop we had time for a cup of tea and then literally we were back on the boat for our second dive...Wreck Dive. No time to chat because of the current, we dropped straight in and went under and battled with the current to find the wreck of a sunken pontoon. The marine life is more abundant around a wreck and so much moss and coral growing on it, we found two sunken bikes also and had a go on them (they didn't ...
