      ... surrounded by ferns, which soon became so steep it was pretty much rock climbing. But when we reached the summit we weren't disappointed, a great view of the whole valley. When active this must have had a pretty big crater for lava to flow! We turned back into the forest before starting the long decent. We did it with a nice Dutch teacher called Astrid and our guide Jonathan was really knowledgeable and pointed out all the plants we could eat, showed us local insects, bugs and birds and even found us a family of howler monkeys.       ... all I have to do is go from a standing-up position, to a laying-down position and I'm best at things I can do while sitting or lying down, like riding horses, for example, and that's probably why I liked zip-lining the other day—all I had to do was sit down, then BOOM, there I was, zipping down the hill.       ... They finally arrived on Boxing Day after what could be described as the worst BC ferries wait you've had - on steroids.
