Paseo de la Mar, Costado Norte Enitel San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, 505-568-2006
... From behind, we watched her finish digging her hole, and then drop the eggs, two or three at a time, into the nest. When she finished, she pushed the sand back in to cover them, then went through a remarkably complicated process of finishing up, which took longer than the actual laying. First she did what could almost be described as a little dance, wiggling back and forth and using her back legs and all her might to pound the sand flat ...
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua kimandjohn... spit stretching out into the lake, which at, probably a certain angle, makes the casual observer from a boat, think you are walking on water. Having no casual observer or boat, we were unable to confirm this suspicion. James was keen to head back so he could do some surfing, so we headed off to get the 9 am ferry. There are two ferries that service the island, operated by different companies and so have slightly different price structures, but in the end they work out to be ...
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua hess... I had to sit on the spare tire lying on the floor at the
back of the bus and when I leaned my bag against another bag the other
bag started clucking. They are not called Chicken Buses for nothing. I
was so sick of public transport, by the end of the day I was ready to
suicide bomb the bus.
When I finally got off after 8 painful
hours of incredibly slow bus travel I checked into the hostel and went
out to the lake to watch ...
Moyogalpa, Rivas, Nicaragua jaspergreene... I could tell after talking with them for a while respectable guys. Anyways, they came back to Puntarenas with me and a few other friends from Puntarenas just to visit. We all ate dinner that night that my tico-friends cooked and the next day spent hours at the beach and talking in Spanish! I was suppose to then go to Nicaragua with my cook/maid because she's from Nicaragua but at the last min she couldn’t go and its such a blessing because Fernando and Elario ...
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua katie.egeland... Jesus that is on top of a mountain here in San Juan del Sur. We got taxis and then drove up this really steep hill… once we got to the top and got out – the view was beautiful. You could look out on to the land, which ranged from beaches…forests…oceans̷ 0; and even Costa Rica! It was absolutely gorgeous. The Jesus statue and the cross were also really neat J The whole trip was a really cool experience and provided some amazing photographs – ...
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua cainja6... with six surfers that were sharing the one room across the hall, and not all of the doors locked. We tried to look past all this because the view was terrific. So we went for a walk. Then we ran into Claire. She asked were we were staying now, so we told her, and she told us to check out immediately because she knows people that have been robbed there. So we look around town for other places to stay then went back to decide what to do (let me add that ...

Merida, Georgia, Nicaragua ncirauqu... 21 year old who had some very conspiratorial ideas about the world. It started as a normal conversation and before we knew it he was telling us that he feels a change coming. He knows it and we apparently know it too. What change? we asked but he wasn´t sure but he knew it wasn´t going to be obvious???? He also tried in vain to get us to talk to people...about what? we are not so sure, he just wanted us to talk. He was very concerned that the governments of the ...
Ometepe Island, Nicaragua bradandbecsI'd heard some people say that SJdelS is awesome and well worth a visit. It is Nicaragua's main beach resort - within easy reach of the capital but, despite this, not overly developed. As it was en route to CR (close to the border) i though i might as well stop by and do some surfing.

There are a few travelers around, but it is essentially a 1-trick town. If you don't surf, there is NOTHING to do, except drink. And thus there was ...
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua brabzzz... Another time, someone poured beer on its head. As the bull was being annoyed at the log, the next rider suited up. They were all sharing the same pair of boots that had spurs tied on to them, so all a rider had to do before his turn was swap his shoes out.

The actual riding of the bull was sometimes exciting, other times scary, and a few times funny. Mostly, the bull just bucked and reared his way over to the gate from which he came. A few bulls did nothing but stand in the middle ...
