... the rocks are giving me the humphs - having to look where I put my damned foot! Sucks! Next uh oh of the day!

The road today was all the old Roman road until we turn to go into the town. Mostly seems to be preserved (the original road area is probably buried) and runs like a reserve between farm fences. Markers showing it as the VDLP original road and other signs of Roman road times. ... occasional expletives from Monsieur as we coughed up large amounts of his pension to help maintain the French road system.

      Bordeaux -17 Février 20015

We stopped at a camp site just north of Bordeaux. Monsieur connected the electric, carefully putting the extension reel under the van, and turned on the heating. Time for his first, well deserved (he thought!), beer. With a desperate lunge into the cutlery draw in search of the bottle opener, ...

      ... better.
Yesterday we met a couple who have been living in a motorhome permanently for 14 years, just travelling Europe. They sold their 8 bedroom farmhouse in the UK years ago. Last year they decided go and live in one of their investment properties, a flat. Said they were in it two weeks and got back on the road with the motorhome.
