... br> Greeted with bright sunshine again on Monday for our guided Donna Leon walk was a highlight. We felt we got a real insight into Brunetti's Venice and will now be able to visualise the places we enjoy reading about. In the afternoon we travelled by local ferry to Murano to view the glassmaking process. The evening was dinner at Loconda Cipriani on Torcello, arriving there on a very fast water taxi!

We arrived around 9:15 and proceeded to the passport check. Then ...

From there working our way back to the channel coast over 4-5 days. All fine and jalopy holding up so far - touch wood. Love to you all again. ...

What a really pretty little spot. After the trials and tribulations of Milan, this place was an absolute little treasure. Today we got up early after a fantastic dinner last night and we made our way to three of the islands in the lake (Lake Maggiore) just next to Stresa. The first island was Isola bella (beautiful island) and it is quite true to name. The island was owned and developed by the Borromeo family. This family has ...
