... I think. We have booked a car to get us to one of the rugby games though because there is no transport to and from Viadana that time of night, so that will be very interesting. Went to supa marko and brought some stuff for tea. Caught up with the Winter's from Australia for a few drinks, was lovely. It's nice just sitting at night and watching people go by, it certainly livens up at night. Off to Calvisano tomorrow for the rugby so it's a bit of a trek getting ...

... were cruising towards one of our stops, a very loud, piercing siren was heard coming from behind us. I turned in time to see an orange and yellow ambulance approaching us at a speed that belonged on a race course. As the driver screemed past us, it was quite amazing to note how sleek and compact this ambulance was compared to its North American counterpart. ... is applied for this purpose (as opposed to Germany when ~1euro pp is recommended).

Venice is beautiful but we think one full day of exploring is enough. We overheard talk of some islands(?) around 45mins-1hr boat ride away where there are beautiful beaches to lie on - this might be something worth while if you are there longer especially in summer. We also did not visit the glass museum, which is still vaguely on my to do list.

        Buon Carnevale!

... Tuesday edition of our travel journal, here's the comparison based on our one trip to Venice for Carnevale last weekend - No nudity. Really, there seems to be no portion of Carnevale that includes flashing drunk girls. In fact, the costumes are the opposite of revealing. The standard Carnevale costume seems to be a renaissance theme with masks. Any skin that might be showing is covered in paint. There may also be no flashing because there are no beads. Lots of confetti ...
