Bar-B-Q at Balaton
... br> On the drive home, we stopped in a town called Tihany that's on a peninsula jutting out into the lake. From a special rock in Tihany you can shout, and whatever you shout bounces off the hills on the other side of the lake and creates an echo!
This week was like a vacation within a vacation. When we weren't busy swimming, we managed to snap a few photos. We hope you enjoy them!

Sugar Sugar Hay Barn

While we didn't spend a lot of time in this town, we did get to enjoy the comfort of Gabor's parent's home (that's Megan's in-laws/ Megan is Zack's first cousin). We also thought the name was pretty cool, and that you would enjoy trying to say it five times fast.

The Cabin and Karad
This morning we went to the Metro Supermarket in Gyor to pick up a few things we would need for our stay in Budapest.
Thomas and Eva drove us to their cabin, which is about 12 km outside of Gyor. On the way there we stopped at a wine cellar where we had a taste of the local wine and a look around underground. We lazed at the beach all afternoon. Of course there was no sand so
we lay on the grass. Totes better than rocks. It was the first time I've
ever had to pay for a beach. The idea of privately owned beaches is
just so repulsive to New Zealanders, but when in Europe one must do as
the Europeans do.

Es stellt sich heraus, dass Magenta auch nach Revfueloep will und im selben Hostel unterkommt. Wir goennen uns nach Ankunft direkt mal einen halben Tag am BEZAHLTEN Privatstrand (wie es scheint kriegt man am Balaton nix geschenkt) um in der Sonne zu brutzeln und uns immer wieder im badewannenwarmen wasser "abzukuehlen".
