Poland is a beautiful country, but the food was terrible. !n the way to our next city, the streets were lined with people selling blueberries, jams and lots of hookers. Some were not even wearing pants!

The kind of ferries that ply the Baltic are not the kind you might have taken from Door County to Washington Island back in the day. These things are cruise ships made to haul cars. There were restaurants, a casino, spa, all kinds of stuff for a seven hour overnight boat ride. In fact, this one is a rowboat compared to the one we'll be on from Helsinki to Stockholm.

Aprofitant que no plovia i que potser, fins i tot, s'entreveia el Sol (jo diria que era més un desitg que realitat), hem trepitjat terres poloneses per veure la costa, doncs potser era un trajecte agradable... Un país molt diferent a l'anterior... preus baixíssims del menjar, carreteres que destrossen lo cul, ple de mosquits...
Però el pla no ha sortit del tot bé i quan ens n'hem adonat ja érem a un poble a prop de la costa havent-nos saltat tota ...
Letzter Tag auf Usedom
... wir zurück. Unterwegs blieb er dann auch noch in einer Schlammpfütze stecken und es fiel uns nicht leicht, ihn zum weiterfahren zu motivieren. Als Stärkung gab es dann eine frische Waffel mit Erdbeeren aus der berühmten Waffelbäckerei- einem alten Gutshof in Mellenthin- und wir spazierten etwas durch den Ort. Die Kirche von 1330 war sehr interessant und die 670 Jahre alten Eichen davor waren echte Riesen!
