... The looong journey actually went very quickly. Mar Del Plata is a coastal city located south of Buenos Aires. The coastline reminded us of Portugal, you've got to love the ruggedness of the Atlantic. Although not the ideal time of year for the beach the real reason we came here was to meet up with a British Family who relocated to Argentina, who Shaun met when he travelled here 5 years ago. They helped him find his feet so he only felt ...

... had started enforcing my rule that if I don't know the Spanish word for something I want I can't buy it; I am hoping this will help me improve my vocabulary. I made soup and chickpeas (garbanzos) for lunch. I befriend an Argentinian who didn't speak any English. Google translate is a dream. He took me to a water tower with great view of the city. After we hung out at the hostel having a few beers before my bus. I got the hostel called me a taxi. The taxi was an unmarked one without ...

I met a few of the people staying at the hostel and none of them spoke English. I went out ...

... tomorrow. The wifi in my room sucks, so I went downstairs to the common area to search for my next plan. I didn't get much done before this group of girls from Argentina started talking to me. Two of them spoke decently English. The most talkative and friendly one however, did not. After chatting they shared some of there traditional 'tea' with me and invited me out for dinner. Dinner plans changed into going for beers at a craft bar I saw earlier. So the 6 of us and Nacho went ...

... so I can only stay two nights. I wonder along the ocean till the sunsets and then head back to hostel to shower. I hoped I'd get a roomy, but with no luck I was happy to be antisocial and streamed Mindy. My observations: I was told the best way to make friends a) your room b) tours c) breakfast all these weren't possible options must find a d; Mar Del Plata reminds me a lot of Montevideo; The seawall is not original; The Mindy Project is the best ...
