Confined to ship
... in the middle of deck 9 is indoor with two spas, but the roof retracts and they pull it back every morning about 10 o'clock unless it's raining. I'm sitting by the midship pool typing this blog listening to a band playing behind me watching the ocean go by. Midship is bit better for those of us who have motion sickness issues. Athens
We spent three days in Athens after our cruise ended. Much of our time was spent exploring the numerous sites of ancient ruins, many dating back to the 5th century BC. The Acropolis was the most spectacular, even though much of the site is undergoing extensive maintenance to rectify work that was completed in the late 1800's. As the big name islands are all too far away for a day trip, we chose to head to an island called "Aegina".
