... a massive area, we only walked around the main area close to the entrance which included the athletes training area, the Temple of Zeus, a Roman bathhouse, and the ‘stadium’ or running track. The entire property covers hundreds of acres and parts of it are still subject to archaeological digs, and research shows there is much more to be uncovered in the future. 19 Aug. We are docked at Katakolo at 8.30am on yet another clear blue sky day and calm seas. Temp again very warm- “Beautiful”. After breakfast we walked ashore and strolled around the local shops which were selling the usual “Tat”. Tonight's show was an acrobatic show to the story of Zorro. It was very good. The girls wanted to stay and watch the next sitting of it as well but we needed a reasonably early night as we have an early start in Santorini ...

Another early start (poor us) and off to the historical site of Olympia where they held the original Olympics. It was a wonderful day, we learned a lot, and it's great to be able to walk around and touch some really really old stuff. The Archeological museum was really interesting, with many partial marble statues being reconstructed. We stopped in the port town for lunch and a bit more shopping.Back in the ...
