Cruise Phase 1
... the ports at the same time as us which makes it busy and crowded. As you would expect, most of our sightseeing is limited to the areas around the ports. Time and opportunity prohibits in depth exploring, but it certainly allows us to get the flavour of the different places we have visited.

Arrived in Heraklion
... other (they're only having a conversation really!) and all sorts of airport staff sat in a long line wearing sun glasses and smoking cigarettes. We jump in a taxi straight away and for 12 euros we reach our Hotel. The city is only 4 kilometres west of the airport and it only takes 10 minutes to get there. Quite an entertaining short drive though...as while the car was making a persistent beep beep ...
Kreta
... naar Plaka en daar een bootje tot het eiland Spinalonga en daarna zouden we terugkomen en wat op het strand gaan zwemmen. Nu zullen we moeten kiezen. We gaan naar het toerismekantoor om te vragen hoe lang het duurt om de bus en de boot te nemen. Hij zegt ons een half uur. Dat valt dus goed mee. Heraklion to Mykonos - Ferry Trip from hell

7.30pm and no sign of a ferry. Feeling somewhat frustrated we head back to the office to see that cranky cow who has absolutely no customer service skills. We get told 8.45pm.
