... Now we are going to another church that is even higher in the mountain, where a goat apparently found the spot. There was a water cave and it was decided to build a church there. ... to work for our views. The paths were challenging with lots of stairs and large rough rocks. We were glad that we rented walking sticks from our guide. ... after they restored it between 1830 and 1840 but this version of it was built by the Venetians. Dinner was close by at Chrisostomos which specializes in baked meat. The place was packed and we were glad we had the hotel make a reservation for us.

There is a good days worth of walking around the old town which we did taking in the castle, the waterfront, the Mycenaean archeological dig and just absorbing the Greek feel of the town ...
