    ... to spot the crowd but not be in it. That way I knew I was on track and not too far lost. Spotting couples in gondolas and on bridges looking all romantic. Then you see the families taking family photos on bridges wearing the Venetian masks. The married for twenty year couple getting over the romance very quickly. We did enjoy a beautiful lunch and bottle of wine by a quiet canal before Wazza went back to the ship and I walked the lanes some more. I hope I find my way ...

    ... at 8 we had been out for 9.5 hours, most of that walking time. We're exhausted! We stopped for a beer or a gelato every few hours, coordinating purchases with bathroom needs. We even had to get fries at McDonald's because there wasn't much in sight and we really needed a stop!     Today we had a little sleep in but by 8.30am we were on the way out of Innsbruck. The weather was cold and overcast but with no rain. The roads were pretty clear as being a Sunday, there are no big trucks around (refrigeration vehicles excepted). Each refuelling station along the way was filled with trucks, curtains drawn around the cabin, with drivers napping. This is all part of the strict driving rules in the EU apparently.     We walked around the square. The boys were keen to feed the pigeons which caused me to run and squeal.
