Monday May 6 - Day 13.

As soon as we walked out of the station and saw what lay before us we were mesmerised by Venice and it's watery streets. It was like stepping into a whole other world.

Oh my gosh..did I turn this way or that way, over that bridge or this one? looks soo different at night too. Thank heavens for the water "bus" problem solved! A pleasant drift along the "Grand Canal" is a wonderful end to another wonderful ...

... years after the war ended. They would only be at peace if they could be buried next to their dead comrades. Kind of touching, really. If that wasn’t enough to tug at your heartstrings, the stones that had been placed near a particular grave to make out the words ‘Tato Pamietam’, which according to Google Translate in English means ‘I remember dad’. It was enough to bring a tear to your eye.
