... come at 9am and pay then for the full day from town to town. So what to do then..go shopping of course. The only problem was, many of the shops were closed for the afternoon siesta and wouldn't reopen until 4pm. Well no shopping then just site seeing until 4. ... The owner had TONS of gluten-free goodies. And even though we didn't get to try it, he makes fresh GF pasta; you just have to order it from him a day ahead of time. You wanted to taste it GF, he had it: focaccia, tiramisu, pizza, cheesecake! He also other treats we'd never heard of. Dan decided on a slice of erbazzone. ... checking in a few of us went for a walk along the pier as we're only a hundred meters from the harbour. As luck would have it there's a maritime festival on and there's about a dozen tall ships anchored in the harbour! Looks wonderful at night with the lights on the ships!! Will do more exploring tomorrow...

... found these very old dirty narrow streets attractive or just intriguing. They do certainly display another facet of city life in Genova, but sometimes there is a fine line between the argument to preserve and the need to bring in the bulldozers. ... backpack. There I caught the train to La Spezia and from there to Pisa and the leaning tower for the night. 

The Cinque Terre was hard at times but its loveliness was well worth the heartache (and pocket-ache). It is a place full of romance and high prices, but also incredible natural beauty thats all free. Swimming in the Mediterranean was incredible, and I finally got some of that european tan I'v been looking for ;)
