... like a holiday. The next town Montorosso was overcrowded, touristy and reminded us of being back on the med around the east coast of Spain. A gelato and a swim was on the cards to fill in the afternoon. It was our least favourites of the 5 towns and we loaded the backpack with beers to enjoy the enjoyable two hour ferry ride home along the coast. The shopping area was not as good as Monterossa, although it had a large ...

We quickly walked back to the train station to catch a train from Pisa to Le Spezia, we paid the difference in our train ticket to upgrade from a slow train to a fast train. The fast train was running late, so we missed our connecting train to Vernazza. We waited over an hour set the station for the next train. We got to Vernazza and only had a short walk to the room we had booked. It was up a steep set of stairs ...

... was pretty and sits a lot higher from the ocean than Manarola. We had a light lunch and decided a train trip back was a better option to rest wearied legs.
Seafood dinner, vino and beers followed as we met and hung out with some new friends (an Aussie working in Amsterdam - Jason & his Dutch girlfriend Astrid. I think we will be catching up with these guys again in Holland.
