... the beauty of the surrounding countryside...we were now driving through the Italian Riveria :) Once again I'm thankful for modern technology with wi-fi being available on the bus! I'm making the most of this time to do my blog, as well as a couple of nice FB chats with my Megan :) Not sure when I would be doing the blog if this wasn't available...always on the go.

... words do the Cinque Terre justice, you have to look at the pictures to truly appreciate the amazing wonder that it is. Or better yet visit it yourself. Two days in the Cinque Terre was just enough, but left us exhausted so if you want to take your time, more time is definitely needed. At one end was where the ferry dropped us off and ...

... smth like that), and coupled with train delays and ticket checks (we didn't pay for the tickets haha), we were still trapped outside pretty late, and we didn't know where to take the cab, so we alighted back at manarola, which we were told there are no cabs in the 5 Terre, so we ran back to the train station again to catch the bus that goes to la spezia, what a day!!! It took quite a while for the cab to arrive at la spezia, and we ended ...

    Riomaggiore 1 - Hiking/Beach

Cinque Terre consists of five small villages (Riomaggiore, Mandola, Corgnilia, Vernazza and Montorosso, in order from south to north) that are wedged between cliffs and the Mediterranean in northwest Italy. They are about 5 kilometers apart from one another and there are hiking trails between them. Today I took the train from Riomaggiore to Corgnilia and then hiked to Vernazza for pizza by the sea and then on to Montorosso. Montorosso has a nice beach were I then hung out for awhile ...
