Then we waddled back to the accommodation telling ourselves that we can't keep eating like this. Truth is, we sort of say this every day. Thanks for the comments from those that do. For those that don't, your off our Xmas card list LOL.
The bed in our Hotel Schultz last night was very comfortable and we had a good sleep - no rowdies to interrupt my snoring LOL!! Another excellent European-type breakfast with an array of cheeses, meats, fresh fruit and of course fantastic breads and buns. A lot of hotels are now doing scrambled or boiled with bacon and/or sausage. Oh and did I mention the piped in music in lots ...
... we managed to find a comfortable downtown hotel (don't remember it). We stepped out for some food, I had goulash soup and MJ had flammenkucheen. We shared a nice big salad. Tomorrow when we can see what is what we will do some exploring and capture the sights. We will of course report on the old stomping grounds!!!!

... The Furka Pass is closed due to the early snow but the car train goes through. I had never seen one of these before but it is like a long flatbed car in between 2 engines and we had the opportunity to take it. You stay in your car as you travel through the tunnel -- it was neat.
Once we got off the train the scenery was beautiful and it has warmed up with the sun shining.

... a big selection of smoked meats was located. The chef at the restaurant, who makes 3000 cakes a year, quickly demonstrated (with great humor) how easy it is to make the Black Forest cake. The secret seems to be to use a LOT of whipped cream and Kirschwasser (cherry liquor). We completed the demonstration class by downing a very large piece of cake.
