... very well done. Definitely recommended going if you ever find yourself in Strasbourg!

We then took a day trip on Monday to a smaller town called Colmar. There wasn't a lot to do there besides walk around the city and see Little Venice, which was basically the same as Little France. A lot of colorful houses that were very pretty but not much to see other than that. After lunch we took bikes to a neighboring town, and ended ...

We also had the chance to visit the home area of the owners of our Gite and were quite surprised by their collection of stuffed animals on display in the lounge. They told us that the animals were all one's they had caught themselves including a fox that they found in the back yard. Kate and Roy are not too sure what to make of them.

Yesterday, as predicated, was a nice quiet day at home spent blogging, playing card games and watching movies. It was fantastic to just sit and relax. The kids also took the opportunity to walk to a park about 1km away to have some playtime on their own without their parents hanging around.

Today was memorable for both the right and wrong reasons! This morning we headed off early, driving south to the town of Orschwiller to visit the remarkable ...

... the grounds and gardens of the impressive Rohan Castle, which dates from 1780 and at one point in its history had been converted to military barracks by Napoleon III. Today, it is still in use with one wing a Primary School, one a museum, one a youth hostel and another a theatre.

We then moved onto the main street called Grand' Rue or Grand Street in English which as previously mentioned, is full of beautiful half timbered buildings with some them dating back ...
