... and playing cards around the big country table. The 4 others had just done "the hill" that morning - poor Kuhn - his 18 year old son took videos of him going up, and shared them with all of us. It wasn't pretty, and we all laughed until we cried. The place has been open for 5 months, and Leslie said this was the best time she's had with her guests. Sadly we left Combarro and headed south for the next Ria. There was little bit of wind so we got a pretty decent sail in.

We anchored in one of the first bays, it was quite crowded actually. Being a weekend the beach was full of people - mostly naked people we discovered after settling in. Not because of the sights but due to the swell we reanchored closer to the headland where we hoped there would be less rolling about.

In the morning we took one of the local buses to Pontevedra, the capital of this region. We got off the bus a little too early (following other people) and then without a map we walked to the bus station some 2 miles away. At the station we got a map and timetable. The anchorage we had off the beach was just so beautiful. There were lovely woodlands around the bay as well as the views of the mountains in the distance. Pure delight. We enjoyed lovely sunsets and wonderful starry nights.

We left the lovely little bay and headed for Vilagarcia, not too far away. We found a spot in the marina and proceeded to go pay for the berth only to be told they were full - being a Friday and all that etc etc etc. So we anchored outside the breakwater (along with another British boat that was turned down).
