Day 2 O Porrino to Arcade 14.5 miles It looked like rain all morning, but we lucked out and didn't get wet. As a result it was cool and a little breezy until the afternoon when the clouds lifted and the sun came out. We kept putting on and taking off our windbreaker. Pontevedra, situated on the north west of the Iberian Peninsula in part of the area popularly known as the Rias Baixas, is the capital of both the Comarca and Galicia. I would have to say this was one of the friendliest placest I have visited. Everyone from the taxi driver who helped me with my luggage to the hotel staff, people in shops, waiters and even buskers were up for a chat. I stayed in a lovely boutique hotel furnished with an ...
