      ... the restoration and cleaning of
      these ancient tapestries. After that, back to the barge for lunch, then
      ventured out to try and see 2 Rubens. The first church was closed, but the 2nd
      one open, so we went in and was enthralled.

      Have to pack tonight for my trip to Eindhoven tomorrow. But
      I am coming back to the barge on the 6th June.

      Thank heavens for electricity and heaters in our modern world...
      Woke to 3 degrees and a top temp of 7 degrees today.. a last stroll around Brugge.. breakky in a delightful local cafe, last few Xmas shops,and the last lot of photos before heading off to Brussels...or so we thought. At Brugge station was wonderful exhibit of Ice Sculptures.. in minus 6 degrees, mind you.. wasn't going to miss this winter treat.. and a treat it was.. life size ice sculptures ...

      ... unit we were staying in could get there to give us the spare keys! Argh.. such a nightmare. We spent the next two days trying to sort out a replacement set of keys for the landlord. We also couldn't really do a lot in those two days because we were waiting for the money we transferred from one of our many frozen bank accounts to clear onto our only travel money card we had left!
