      ... him another drink! It was a beautiful street and the house built 80 years ago looked very modern. We also saw Bill's grandmother's house on the same street.
      THEN it was time to eat again. Back in Antwerp at Central Station we walked around the area and stopped at Cafe des Beaux Arts for Belgium waffles mit schlag (whipped cream).
      On the train back to Mechelen we planned the evening: we bought some fruit tarts at the street fair, some cheese, a baguette and a bottle of red wine ...

      And so it begins...

      So today we woke up extortionately early to get to Reading, then St Pancras (where I had a lovely duet of a Rihanna song with a random stranger on the random upright piano in the middle of the station), and after Binning spilt his humungous coffee all over Costa, we Eurostarred to Brussels.       ... four hours we had a success or two and now have a full German gas bottle and a non-leaky regulator. It would seem that every country has its own brand of gas bottle and whilst the connections seem to be the same, you can't simply 'swap and go’ if the bottle is not the same brand.
