      ... him another drink! It was a beautiful street and the house built 80 years ago looked very modern. We also saw Bill's grandmother's house on the same street.
      THEN it was time to eat again. Back in Antwerp at Central Station we walked around the area and stopped at Cafe des Beaux Arts for Belgium waffles mit schlag (whipped cream).
      On the train back to Mechelen we planned the evening: we bought some fruit tarts at the street fair, some cheese, a baguette and a bottle of red wine ...

      We started the day with a continental breakfast at a cafe before heading to the royal palace. The gardens in front of the palace were beautiful and it has been a beautiful day so we sat in the sun for a bit of people watching! We found our way to the musical instrument museum.       Oh and a few final points; the nice guy at our hotel gave us turkish treats and made me a really strong and sweet mint tea. Also there is an extremely friendly cat that lives in our hotel. It mews at you for a pat and sits on you whether you like it or not.
