    ... military and defensive connotation but the word Fort in India means more like the word PALACE. These are the palaces that the old regime used to house themselves in and raise their families and pray to their gods and support their harems.     ... it's a small group, it's nice that we can just chat away in casual English rather than worrying about others understanding what you're saying.

    That's it for now - off to Agra (i.e. the home of the Taj Mahal) tomorrow morning, and my alarm is set for 4.15am......back to it!

    I should be able to write entries most nights throughout my 2 weeks in India, as we are in hotels for most nights. Whether the WiFi exists or is any good is another question.
