    ... and took a long walk around the lake, stalked some birds and ducks for a while and at the end of the day took myself to the capitals north to catch a movie. And yes it was a 3 hour return trip (so much for not driving). I think it was worth it I loved Trainwreck but what I love the most is embracing the way others see movies. Akureyri cinema has an interval and they all talked all the way through the movie... Sort of narrating it. ...

    Left Akureyri and drove around the peninsula to the west. Stopped at Dalvik to see the Hvol folk museum with a special display in Iceland's tallest man who was 7'7" and was for a while the tallest man in the world. On around the coast in pretty thick fog, with some long tunnels (up to 6km) cutting through the mountains. Narrow and with meeting points for passing traffic.
