After being away from Tyson, Riley, and Reznor for awhile it was nice to give some loving to a dog although the dog's name is eluding me now.

Left Akureyri and drove around the peninsula to the west. Stopped at Dalvik to see the Hvol folk museum with a special display in Iceland's tallest man who was 7'7" and was for a while the tallest man in the world. Still lots of people enjoying the buzz of the Independence Day, as they should. I’m sure I saw two similar trolls in Reykjavik, maybe they are related! Neat, John wanted to ask a mother if he could have photograph with her cute twin girls but decided he'd probably end up in jail. Vicki snapped a photo. Back to the car, after a very ...

... parts of the world but we have never had to done a heavy duty dry suit to do one. I don't expect that the rivers of Iceland ever get warm but in the early spring glacier run-off we knew this was going to be test (this was probably the first time we really paid attention to the part of the safety briefing that provided the guidance for not falling out of the raft). Removing air from the dry suit proved to be a bit embarrassing for DH, but outside of flatulence noises we all ...
