... grassland, forest, vineyards, mountain ranges and rolling hills. Every postcard perfect scene witnessed on one drive and it was a drive that no one else was doing. Sometimes it is the little places that you stumble across that you remember more than any others and although the big tourist destinations have a lot to offer it is these little places that make your trip unique and even more memorable. This drive was perfect, we ...

... which is near the coast and went to check out the beach. For miles there are perfect rows of beach chairs all belonging to different clubs that you have to rent to lie on the beach. They seemed to stretch forever. It was very strange to see as we dont have that in NZ and a bit eerie as it was the evening and the beach was nearly empty! After a quick look it was back to the hostel for an early night as we had been up since 5am on the ...

It's near enough to Rome for a trip, but you could go round the lake for a holiday too.
Didn't eat for the rest of the day, the bike wouldn't have coped with extra weight, and kicked on for San marino.
Now when your sat nav says 48 miles, two hours, and you're in mountains it's going to be two hours of bendy bendy bendy fun fun fun. And it was

... at a piadina place - quite possibly the best I had tried the whole weekend! :D Once we finished, we went to Papeete - beach party - and it was going off. So much fun and all I had was a coke... They were playing heaps of songs that I knew so I was dancing like a crazy Australian. Everyone was watching me but at the time, I didn't care. :) Davide even went to the DJ and told them to shout out to the Aussie in ...

    ... looked safe....

Turned out, the girl was going back to her hotel and her friends wanted to party on. Apparently it's not very safe to walk the streets alone here and when she saw us (especially me being a girl and all) she began walking with us. Turned out her name was Katia and she was SUPER nice. She apparently lived about 1.5h from Bergamo. After chatting with her for 20 minutes, we walked her to her hotel and then headed home.

P.S. No photos for today :(
