Paul's training has kicked in. The Ironman in Copenhagen is on 23rd August. Paul went up the valley this morning (on another beautiful day). We zipped to the weekend market and then headed off to Geneva to get a new rental car. We haven't found a car to buy yet, so need to take back our rental and exchange for a smaller version. Unfortunately the first rental car got dinged in the side (car park ding, we think). This ...

Old drink there before continuing to Hotel De La Forclaz. The hike ...

The sales are on everywhere for ski gear, so with took advantage of the season. Because the shop is called "Namaste", Paul gave Rob a NZ $5 note and showed ...

Well in theory very easy, but in reality it took us a full 34 minutes by the time we worked out if we had standard lights or projected lights, there was even an option for halogen lights let alone xenon lights. We finally decided what we had, lined them up, stuck them on, and next thing we knew daylight appeared through the windows of the carriage and we had arrived dans la France - Oui!

    There ...

... Our bottle of wine is empty again. Sigh. I've heard the evaporation rate is really high here! Our waiter, who is also the cook, caretaker, dishwasher, and housekeeper, just left a tray at our table with a small metal pitcher of water and two bowls of steaming vegetable soup. Since there is no heat in here and the temp has dropped considerably, this is sure to warm us up.
Our next course is a delicious mixed green salad with corn, a thin section of carrot and ...
