... happy polite well adjusted little people. However there is moments of reality....granddad says that this holiday is costing him 1 a minute, plus miscellaneous expenses (3000) so the family will enjoy themselves. And that's the reality, in a months time our Chalet will cost the occupants 2 a minute, to stay for a week. Yep 120 per hour. Work it out 2 x 60 x 24 x 7. GBP! Its a serious cheque book.

So what do we do.....wake at 6am, coffee, shower etc and ...

woke to a wonderful view of the Lausanne lake. We drove down to evian and after much debating as to which wharf we wer to leave from. We finally found it and took the ferry over to lausanne which was beautiful until the girls found out that they would have to climb a hil to get to the centre of town. We wandered back down and had ice cream and fish and chips in a lovely cafe. A walk along the water gave us a chance for a few photo opportunities. Ferry back to ...

... every now and then someone ventured out to buy toilet paper. Before we knew it we had pulled into Gruyeres and we headed up the long hill to the farm house.
After deciding to skip the cheese factory and head up the hill to the town we realized that lunch had escaped us and 3:00 seemed like a great time for dinner so we chose a quaint restaurant with fondue and sat down. This, by the way is supposed to the "warmer" weather ...

... we weren't ment to be and us stressing we were going to miss our ride. We started at the wrong side then, on the right side but too far down, Stacey worrying that the ride won't wait 5 minutes and me thinking he won't be on time anyway.
