Tonight I am staying in an eight-bed dormitory on a camping site. There are two other residents, who I have yet to meet. It's probably the cheapest digs on offer at 23 Swiss Francs (approx 20 Euros) per night. I've done better than I expected for accommodation costs in Switzerland so far, thanks to staying initially in a shared room in a private home and then youth hostelling in Lausanne and ...

... of it over a high fence. It is just one more thing I'll have to research on the internet after I finish my trip. Lastly, I also saw lots of Nestle buildings between Lausanne and Montreux, which suggests their HQ might be here.

Tomorrow's accommodation will be at an Abbey in the town of St Maurice, on the way to Martigny. I doubt I will have Wi-Fi access for a couple of days, so please don't assume that radio silence means anything sinister has happened to me on the slopes.
