Around Almaty: chairs and visas
Anna: Almaty is quite nice. Compared to the other cities we've seen in KZ it's really a gem. The streets are lined with trees and when the smog isnt too bad you can see the snow capped mountains in the south. Then there is the traffic... People use thier horns more than their blinkers and make up lanes where there are none. The bigger the better seems to be the motto of the affluent almatians, therefore there are lots of SUV's.

What's that smell
... an odd smell to find smoke pouring off Blanche's brand new brakes. It would seem that 30mins of solid downhill had them working a hotter then usual.
Brakes cool, back into town the rest of the arvo was spent relaxing without the car before joining a few of the locals to watch Kazakhstan win gold in the Olympic weightlifting...pretty awesome.
