The last day of the cruise. We had an amazing voyage. We travelled a total of 2,228 sea miles or 4,126 kilometres. 1 sm = 1.852km We had to miss the port of Nantes in France because it was closed due to rough seas. The main event in Bremen is in the Markt, which houses the Rathaus, a 13m-tall statue of the city’s knight, Roland, a small statue of the musicians of Bremen, and nearby the Dom St Petri, a twin-towered cathedral ...

Martina and the Welcome Show

... lipstick smeared up to my earlobes.

And, of course, today is another classic. I’ll admit that, of all quick-costume changes, the transition into the Welcome Show finale is the most tragically unappetising. Diving for our leftover costume bits in the blackout as a spotlight begins cruising around the stage, occasionally flashing over our ungainly gallop through the exit wings; barging past the boys in a furious thrashing ...
